How to Prepare Your BAS in XIntelliSync (Quarterly Guide)

"BAS preparation should take 10 minutes, not 3 hours. Here's how."

BAS preparation should take 10 minutes, not 3 hours. XIntelliSync's BAS Preparation Agent calculates your GST obligations automatically using your invoices, expenses, and bank feed data.

Preparation Steps

To prepare your BAS:

  • Step 1: Ensure all transactions for the quarter are recorded and categorised
  • Step 2: Run bank reconciliation to match all bank feed transactions
  • Step 3: Navigate to Tax → BAS Preparation
  • Step 4: Select the quarter and click "Prepare BAS"
  • Step 5: The agent calculates G1 (total sales), GST on sales (1A), GST on purchases (1B), PAYG withholding, and net amount
  • Step 6: Review the summary — check each figure against your records
  • Step 7: Download the BAS summary and lodge via ATO Business Portal or your tax agent

XIntelliSync prepares and organises. You review and lodge. The platform does not lodge directly with the ATO.
