How to Import CSV and Excel Data into XIntelliSync

"Every business has legacy data trapped in spreadsheets. Here's how to free it."

Every business has legacy data trapped in spreadsheets — whether it's a customer list from a previous CRM, transaction history from a retired accounting system, or an inventory count from a manual process. The Data Import Wizard gets it all into XIntelliSync.

Supported Data Types

You can import:

  • Customers and contacts
  • Invoices and credit notes
  • Expenses and receipts
  • Bank transactions
  • Products and inventory
  • Any structured data with identifiable columns

How to Import

The process is the same for any CSV or Excel file:

  • Step 1: Navigate to Settings → Data Import
  • Step 2: Select the data type you're importing
  • Step 3: Upload your .csv or .xlsx file
  • Step 4: The wizard reads your column headers and suggests field mappings
  • Step 5: Review and adjust mappings if needed
  • Step 6: Preview a sample of mapped records
  • Step 7: Confirm import — records are created in XIntelliSync

Common Questions

What file formats are supported?

CSV (.csv) and Excel (.xlsx) files. The Data Import Wizard handles both formats.

Can I import from any accounting system?

Yes. As long as the system can export data as CSV or Excel, you can import it into XIntelliSync. The wizard handles column mapping regardless of the source system.

What if the column names don't match?

The Data Import Wizard includes a manual column mapping step. You can map any column from your file to the corresponding XIntelliSync field.
