How to Reconcile Bank Transactions in XIntelliSync

"Reconciliation is the last manual step most businesses haven't automated."

Bank reconciliation is the last manual step most businesses haven't automated. XIntelliSync matches bank transactions to your invoices, expenses, and payments using AI — you review and approve.

How Reconciliation Works

With bank feeds connected via Basiq, transactions flow in daily:

  • Step 1: Open Banking → Reconciliation in your sidebar
  • Step 2: Unmatched transactions appear with AI-suggested matches
  • Step 3: Review each suggestion — approve, edit, or create a new record
  • Step 4: Matched transactions are marked as reconciled
  • Step 5: Run the reconciliation summary to check for any remaining unmatched items

Tips for Clean Reconciliation

Keep your reconciliation clean:

  • Reconcile at least weekly to avoid a backlog
  • Categorise bank transactions as they come in — don't let them pile up
  • Use rules to auto-categorise recurring transactions (e.g. rent, utilities)
  • Review unmatched transactions promptly — they may indicate missed invoices or expenses
