How to Connect Shopify to XIntelliSync for Automated Accounting
"Your Shopify store generates revenue. Your accounting software should know about it automatically."
If you run a Shopify store, your eCommerce revenue and your business accounting live in separate worlds. Orders come in through Shopify. But unless someone manually exports and reconciles, your P&L, cash flow, and GST calculations never reflect your actual sales data in real time.
Connection Steps
The Shopify OAuth connection takes under 5 minutes:
- Step 1: In XIntelliSync, go to Settings → Integrations → Shopify
- Step 2: Enter your Shopify store URL (e.g. your-store.myshopify.com)
- Step 3: Click "Connect" — you'll be redirected to Shopify's OAuth authorisation page
- Step 4: Review the permissions and click "Install app"
- Step 5: XIntelliSync begins syncing orders, refunds, and revenue data
What Happens After Sync
Shopify orders and refunds import into XIntelliSync and flow directly into your financial reports:
- Revenue appears in your P&L automatically
- Refunds are properly accounted for
- GST is calculated on each order based on your tax settings
- Cash flow reflects actual Shopify payment cycles
Shopify API version 2025-01 — supported through January 2027. XIntelliSync updates the API version quarterly.
